Well, who would have guessed it????  Good ole Rocco pulled away from the pack with a first day total of over 19 pounds!!!  Way to go Rocco!!!  I guess you should thank Dan for not being able to start his big motor....

Richard Dunlap pulled away with Big Bass (almost seven pounds) after a Sunday morning bite.  Richard edged out two other 6+# fish  (Leo and Steve) to take the Big Bass title for the tourney.

And finally, I have to whine about the one that got away.  I had a big momma break my 20# test like it was 2# line.  I'm still crying about it...  Well, he'll be there next time...and I'll have 50# test then!!!

Well, another one of those trips... Somehow Jeff managed to bring in the ONLY keeper for the whole day. These South Texas lakes seem to be taking quite a beating from the lack of rain.

On a lighter note, Steve was able to bring in some nice crappie and hybrids by utilizing a seldom used technique of spinnerbaiting for crappie.

Well, another one of those trips... Steve and myself brought in 16 of the 22+ pounds caught in the tourney - but it was definitely a tough 16 pounds. As the scoreboard shows, the fishing was very tough again.

On a lighter note, Rocco and Dan had a great time fishing together. And, Jeff appreciated Rocco for waking up the fish so that Jeff could catch them right behind Rocco.

By the way, who keeps picking these wonderful lakes??? Where is Falcon when you need it?

Well, OUCH!!! Steve and Mike figured out how to catch the only 3 keepers to roam lake OH Ivie. What a tough lake to find keepers. It seems that there were a lot of good fish caught - but not quite long enough ones.

Well, Great Tourney!!! Some very respectable stringers were brought in on two days which were quite cold, windy, and wet. Mike took a demanding lead at Belton Lake the first day with an impressive 14+ pound stringer, including a near 5-pound smallmouth (Shown Above). Steve took second place and Leo took third (by a hair over Cal).
