Quality Youth Bass Club Tournament Results

February 2007

On Sunday Feb. 25, 2007, the Jr. bass club had a tournament on the Guadalupe River. The launch site was under I-35. There were 4 kids participating: Mike, Cassy, and Calli Cowin, and Josh Iltis. The boats were provided by Mike Kinchen and George Barnes. The results follow:

Medina September 24th 2006

We came to Medina hoping for the same results as last time, but that didn’t happen. Many participants were frustrated when some of them caught little bass not 14 inches, others did not have any luck at all. The only one to weigh in was Josh with 2 fish. There was however some controversy when officials didn’t think one of his fish was 14 inches so they remeasured the fish, and it was exactly 14 inches and was legal. Hopefully next time there will be more fish caught. So until next time have fun at Fishing for Freedom and the State Championship. And like always "keep it reel".

Choke Canyon August 26th 2006

It was a great day at Choke for fishing. The sun was up and so was the famous Choke alligator. The tournament went as follows: Katie was 3rd with 3 fish live and big bass of 3.07, Josh was 2nd with 4 fish live and 1 dead, and Cassidy was 1st with 5 fish live.

Medina Lake April 30th 2006

Our first tournament was a success. Out of 8 kids all of them caught fish......3 kids had keepers .Those keepers were caught by Cassidy, Calli and Josh. Cassidy who took 1st place had 2 fish for a total of 2.71lbs and 2nd was Josh who had one fish that weiged in at 1.39lbs, and then Calli had one that tipped the scale at 1.40lbs. QYBC wants to thank the following: Dave Stewart, Mike Robbins, Mike Hall, Dan Leach and Cal Bienhoff. These great people provided boats for us lucky kids to fish off of. We would also like to thank Red Cove Marina who waived the launch fees, and Medina Lake for all the fish it let us hook. So until next time "keep it reel".
